Popular gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele has formally unveiled his new radio station “Fresh FM” in Ado Ekiti today
The ceremony which was performed by the Governor of Ekiti State Dr. Kayode Fayemi had few personalities in attendance due to covid-19.
The station which is located at Falegan area of Ado Ekiti, seems to be the biggest out of his radio stations considering the magnificent building and modern facilities on ground
Speaking during the programme, Governor Kayode Fayemi who was represented by his wife Bisi commended the musician for investing in the state.
Dr Fayemi explained that the radio station would create employment for talented youths and enhance communication between government and citizens.
The first lady was later taken round the facility which she described as perfect for a modern day broadcasting.
Earlier, Yinka Ayefele who hails from Ipoti Ekiti, Ijero local government said he was inspired to set up radio stations based on the overwhelming support he got from his colleagues in the media industry when he had an accident.
He promised to use his experience to promote objectivity and professionalism
Ayefele said, I am not a politician, I am a musician and my root is broadcasting , adding that nothing will stop him from doing things right in line with the ethics of broadcasting.
