Clerics, Monarch task Christians to let peace reign in Ondo State



Following the sanity and calmness among youths in Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole over the Endsars protest, various efforts have been put in place in Akoko area of the state to let peace returned to the land permanently. 

Our correspondent, who monitored the situation disclosed that, today being the Last Sunday in the month of October was dedicated for a special prayers for the peace to reign in Nigeria, Ondo state at Christ Apostolic church in Okeagbe  Akoko

The District Head of Chrst Apostolic Church in the Area, Pastor Festus Abiola described peace as weapon and catalyst for rapid development hence youths should embrace dialogue for their legimate demands.

The cleric called on government and security to handle issues concerning youths with care and decorum.

In the same vein, Pastor Gabriel Agbaje described Nigeria as a great country which is endowed with natural resources,  if well harnessed will reduce exodus of Nigerians to foreign countries.

Agbaje however pleaded with youths to shelve their swords and not allow the miscreants to tarnish their image and their legitimate demands for their selfish ends.

Similarly, The Ewi of Aje Okeagbe Oba Oloruntoba Bello challenged the traditional rulers,religious, opinion leaders to be up and doing in making the youths realise the need not to destroy government and personal property.

The Monarch therefore commended the government for speedy response to the demands of Nigerians youths and also sympathised with the families that lost their love ones and those who lost properties during the protest
