Corps members have been urged to impact lives in the course of their one year mandatory youth service.
The Local Government Inspector of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Lagelu local Government Area of Oyo State, Abdulkarim Adenike, gave this charge while addressing Corps members at a maiden meeting held today.
It will be recalled that the Federal Government had shut down Orientation camps and NYSC on its own part suspended Community Development Service (CDS) due to the novel virus that forced Nigerian Residents in door.
While addressing the fresh graduates, Adenike meticulously underscored the importance of Community Development service, (CDS) describing as imperative.
"The Community Development service will let you know what is going on in the community where you are serving.
"It is expected of you as a Corp member to make impact in any community you find yourself," Adenike said.
She further promised that project done by a Corp member either individually or joint effort will be recognized by Nysc
She however urged corps members to adhere strictly to Precautionary Measures duly highlighted by Federal government and Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on the use of Nose mask always and washing of hand with sanitizer
Meanwhile, three corpers from Batch A while narrating thier experience in the course of their one year service disclosed that having posted to a school to teach was an herculean task, but they have to make it easy for themselves because they have been called to serve thier fatherland.
They unanimously advised Batch B corps Members to be focused and make good use of their service year.
