NANNIM President, Ondo Chair condemns Owo Killings, donates to nurse who lost two legs





The National leadership of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, NANNM led by National President, Comrade Nnachi Michael today led its Executive members visited one of their members, Nurse Attah Margaret who lost her two legs in the barbaric massacre of worshippers at St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, Owo in Ondo State last Sunday.

The National President of NANNM in company of the 4th National Vice President, Comrade Obadiah Avre; the National Treasurer of NANNM, Comrade Mercy Lenka, representing National Administrative Council and the National Executive Council of NANNM, condemned the unprovoked attack in entirety while praying for quick recovery of affected victims 

The National president presented a medical financial assistance cheque to Nurse Margaret on behalf of National leadership of NANNM while the State Chairman of the Association, Comrade Kehinde Olomiye also presented an undisclosed amount in cheque on behalf of the Ondo State Council. 

Other valuable materials were also donated by the National leadership of NANNM to affected victims in the various ward were also visited. 

The association leadership appreciated efforts of Medical Director and Nursing community in Owo especially those at the Federal Medical Centre, FMC Owo in ensuring quick recovery of the victims.


The National President condoled the Governor of Ondo State, Arakurin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, the Imperial Majesty Olowo of Owo kingdom, the Bishop of Catholic, Diocese of Ondo, Bishop Jude Arogundade, the priest and parishioners of St Francis Catholic Church Owa-luwa, Owo as well as the people of Owo kingdom,  the traumatized families of the victim
