Ogbuogebe meets camp officials, harps on Model patriotism




The State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps Oyo State, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe has urged  Camp Officials to model patriotism and avoid preferential treatment of Prospective Corps members.

She said every official must be a detribalised Nigerian and a good example for the graduate youths to emulate.

She gave the charge at the maiden meeting held for the 2022 Batch ‘C’ Stream One Orientation exercise at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Iseyin, Oyo State.

She admonished camp officials to welcome the incoming Prospective Corps Members warmly as they enter camp stressing that it will help them to settle down and comply with the regimented rules guiding the camp. 

"Camp officials are also charged to be mentors to the Prospective Corps members and help remould their lives and impact future generations.  

She also warned them to shun over-socialisation and extortion of the Prospective Corps members in the name of posting. 

All camp officials were equally urged to be present at  their duty posts at every point in time and are not allowed to speak to the media or divulge any official information at their disposal without permission.


On COVid 19 test,  the Coordinator stated that the camp is a closed camp for every member of staff as a safety measure and that it is mandatory for any staff leaving the camp to seek approval before exit.

On issue of security, she said all members of staff must abide by the rules of the camp and make no room for lapses to achieve a watertight security around the camp.

The Camp Director for the 2022 Batch ‘C’ Stream one Orientation Course, Mr. Olumide Adekeye also admonished the security men to be civil with the Prospective Corps members and work with synergy for a hitch free orientation.
