The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ondo State Council, has felicitated christians especially media professionals on the occasion of Christmas celebration even as the Union wishes "you love, joy and enduring peace as you celebrate the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ."
This is contained in a Christmas Message issued in Akure and signed by the union's State Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite and the State Secretary, Comrade Olaoluwa Meshack.
Ondo NUJ says, "Christmas is a season of love; a time when God showed His love to mankind by giving His only son, Jesus Christ to die for the sin of the world.
"The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ondo State Council, therefore wishes you love, joy and enduring peace as you celebrate the birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
"We pray that the Light which Jesus represents, shines in your various homes and light up every dark corner in your life.
"Ondo NUJ also urges all Christians to always imbibe the spirit of love, humility, perseverance and forgiveness as exemplified by Christ on earth.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance."
The Union uses the occasion to assure its members that the National and Ondo State Leadership of NUJ will continue to give top priority to what will improve their welfare.
