4th term ambition: Kolade Akinjo smells defeat, begs Olu of Warri to woo Ilaje stakeholders to support his ambition

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a member of the House of Representatives representing Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency, Hon. Kolade Akinjo's 4th term ambition has met waterloo

It was gathered that Hon. Kolade Akinjo who is currently confused not to lose his ambition for the 4th term as a representative in the green chamber was  begging Ilaje stakeholders to support his ambition, but all effort proved abortive.

According to a reliable source, "Akinjo later met with His Royal Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, Olu of Warri yesterday, Friday 13th February, 2023 to woo some stakeholders in Ilaje to renege on the recent decision they have taken and support his 4th term ambition.

It was reliably gathered that the Monarch told him tactically that he could not work against the general interest of Ilaje and Ese-Odo people.

It will be recalled that all major stakeholders in Ilaje Local government area of Ondo state made a unanimous decision to throw thier weight behind Hon. Donald Ojogo, the APC candidate vying for House of Representatives, Ilaje/Ese-Odo Federal Constituency on the account of fairness, equity and justice.

The stakeholders noted that Ilaje and Ese-Odo unanimously agreed that the Deputy Governor and House of Reps cannot go to the same local government which was practicalised in 2019 against Ese-Odo when His Excellency, Hon. Alfred Agboola Ajayi was the Deputy Governor.

"One of the stakeholders who spoke with our correspondent expressed displeasure over Akinjo's act of running helter Skelter all in the name of going for the 4th term.

In his words, "we have advised Akinjo to drop  his ambition for the general interest of Ilaje nation, and stop meeting stakeholders to woo people to vote for him".

"Ilajes have really tried for Akinjo. We had voted for him three consecutive times. As followers of Christ, we need to be fair and just in everything we do. This time around, it's the turn of Ese-Odo Local Government. On justice and equity, we stand".

"It is now getting clearer to Kolade Akinjo that he will lose his seat at the green chamber, hence, running from pillar to pole looking for assistance where there is none.

"Who-is-who in Ilaje have unanimously affirmed that the choice of the good people of Ilaje and Ese-Odo for the House of Reps, Hon. Donald Ojogo will be Victorious come February 25 election"
