As the General elections draws nearer, Corps members under Lagelu local government area of Oyo State(Olorunda axis) have sensitized the youths on the need for them to get thier PVCs for them to participate in the forthcoming elections
The sensitization campaign tagged, "Operations get your PVC" was held at Ojurin Market in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
Our correspondent who visited the event gathered that the corps members were with cardboard with different inscription "Get your PVCs", "It is your right as a citizen, go get your PVC " and the likes
Speaking at the occasion, the Corper liason Officer of Olorunda CDS group, Mr Omikunle Olalekan enjoined the youths to partake immensely in the forthcoming general elections
"I will commend you all for always want to vote, but it will be good that you have all it takes to vote which is your PVC
"Voting nowadays is not by mere saying but it must pass through the right channel which is by getting your PVC,
"It is your right as a citizen of this country to vote, Your vote is your future". He said
Other speakers who spoke at the event also emphasized on the need for the youths to demonstrate thier right by getting thier PVCs
Newsline NG however gathered that the sensitization campaign was done in accordance with the groups project which was done last year to give to the Needy.
