Attempt to Blackmail my name, attract a penalty, Ondo Assembly Speaker, Oladiji warns bloggers, propagandists.

The Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, has made a fervent appeal to the residents of Ondo state, urging them to maintain peace during what he described as a challenging period for the state

Oladiji while speaking with our correspondent emphasized the paramount importance of a peaceful environment for the state’s development.

Against the backdrop of political tension arising from a reported rift between Governor Akeredolu and his deputy, Aiyedatiwa, the Speaker emphasized the necessity of fostering a peaceful atmosphere, stressing that the interest of Ondo State is the most paramount to him.

“I am not anti Ondo State people contrary to the belief of some novices who do not understand the difference between legislative and executive. Legislative arm of government is a game of number and majority. So, the people should stop assaulting the integrity of the legislators and make wild and libellous allegations against the assembly.

As per the assembly, we are for the people, but as it stands now, we are following the reconciliation resolution we had with President Bola Tinubu who is the leader of our great party.”

As of now, I had withdrawn all court cases as directed by Mr. President, however, we will not hesitate to communicate to him any where we have difficulty.”

“The unfortunate scenario is the activities of some uncourteous journalists, propagandists and bloggers who are writing jargons on the social media, worsening the situation day by day with fake stories.

This time around, I will not joke with any journalist, propagandist and blogger, enough is enough. I have my name to protect, they should stop blackmailing my name any longer, I am not anti Ondo State people.”

“Just few days ago, I directed my lawyer to sue a national daily newspaper (name withheld) who published my name and picture on the front page, saying that, ‘Ondo Speaker, Oladiji tells Deputy Governor, Aiyedatiwa to write undated registration letter as part of the resolution with Mr. President’.

In fact, I was shocked when I saw the story and asked my lawyer to sue the newspaper, meanwhile, people are still appealing to me…

“Henceforth, I will be brutal with newspapers, propagandists and bloggers who write fake news on my behalf without my consent. Sincerely speaking, majority of the statements credited to me were not emanated from my office.” Ondo Speaker lamented.

“I have written my name in GOLD before I joined politics.”
