The Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde has donated 200 pieces of mattresses to the NYSC management to complement the available ones at the orientation camp for the use of corps members in order to ensure the smooth running of the 2023 Batch C stream two orientation exercise.
The Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Miss Wasilat Adegoke, while handing over the items to the State Coordinator reiterated the commitment of the Oyo State Government towards the welfare of Corps members serving in Oyo State.
Adegoke said "Despite the fact that we have a lot of things competing for attention from the Government, His Excellency has special interest in NYSC programs and Corps members welfare” she said.
However, the State Coordinator NYSC Oyo, Comrade Odoba Abel Oche who has initially purchased 200 pieces of mattresses commended Governor Makinde for his unrelenting support and usual contributions to the activities of the National Youth Service Corps in Oyo State.
Odoba stressed that the management of NYSC Oyo State under his watch will continue to device every possible means to provide prompt and quality service delivery to Corps members.
