Sandra Duru Reveals Alleged Plot by Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to Frame Senate President Akpabio

Dr. Sandra Duru, a Nigerian activist residing in the United States, has come forward with serious allegations against suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, claiming the senator offered her N200 million to falsely accuse Senate President Godswill Akpabio of organ harvesting.

In a Facebook live session on Thursday night, Duru, known by her followers as “Prof. Mgbeke,” recounted her interactions with Akpoti-Uduaghan, revealing how the senator allegedly approached her with the proposal after a sexual harassment claim against Akpabio failed to gain traction.

Duru shared evidence of their phone conversations and WhatsApp exchanges, where she refuted Natasha’s claims that they had never communicated. According to Duru, Natasha is “a pathological liar” who concocts stories for personal gain.

The activist revealed that Akpoti-Uduaghan disclosed to her that the best way to gain fame in Nigeria was to attack the current government, claiming that Nigerians are “gullible and hungry.” Natasha allegedly said she was promised a governorship position in Kogi State or a cabinet post as Minister of Petroleum in return for her political attacks.

Duru further claimed that Akpoti-Uduaghan spoke about a plan orchestrated by her sponsors to force Senate President Akpabio to step down, with the goal of weakening President Bola Tinubu’s political power to prevent his re-election.

Throughout the broadcast, Duru explained how Natasha allegedly bribed former Education Minister Dr. Oby Ezekwesili to disrupt the Senate’s investigation into the sexual harassment claims. According to Duru, Akpoti-Uduaghan admitted to fabricating the sexual harassment allegations and expressed frustration over her failure to secure Ezekwesili and another associate’s support in the Senate proceedings.

Duru also revealed that Natasha had asked her to help contact foreign organizations, particularly in the UK Parliament, to accuse Akpabio of organ harvesting. Natasha allegedly linked Akpabio to the death of a young woman named Umoren, suggesting her kidney was taken for Akpabio’s wife.

“She wanted to remove Akpabio from office and believed he was blocking her sponsors’ efforts in the National Assembly,” Duru said, noting that Natasha had claimed they were already successful with the House of Representatives, and the Senate was their next target.

While Duru refrained from divulging all of Natasha’s comments about her husband, Emmanuel Uduaghan, she did mention that Natasha accused him of poisoning her and said she intended to retaliate.

In closing, Duru shared that after she refused Natasha’s offer of financial compensation, she was met with threats. Duru also mentioned that she had handed over important details and evidence to the authorities.
