Gov Aiyedatiwa congratulates corps members, tasks them on Nation-Building





As Nigeria stands at a critical juncture in its development journey, the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has urged members of the National Youth Service Corps to embrace their national assignment with a deep sense of responsibility and contribute meaningfully to the progress of the nation.

The governor delivered this charge on Tuesday through the NYSC Ondo State Coordinator, Mrs. Kuburat Omowumi Bakare, during the closing ceremony of the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 Orientation Course held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Ikare-Akoko.

Governor Aiyedatiwa affirmed that the 2025 Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 corps members had undergone paramilitary drills, leadership and citizenship training, Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development and various forms of patriotic education in the course of the orientation  exercise, he therefore explained that the activities were designed to shape their character and equip them for future challenges.

Commending their enthusiasm to serve the nation, he urged them to allow their conduct to reflect the values instilled in them during the orientation course and be impactful in their host communities.

According to him “Be proactive. Embrace your host communities, identify areas of need and contribute to community development efforts. In doing so, you will not only leave lasting footprints but also promote national unity and integration”

The governor also encouraged the corps members to take full advantage of the NYSC SAED programme and pursue ventures that will make them self-reliant after their national service.

He further enjoined them not to engage in societal sharp practices and remain law-abiding, noting they are the ambassadors of their various backgrounds.

“Let your actions speak honourably of your families, your institutions and the NYSC scheme. Always remember that you are ambassadors of unity, peace, and development. Live up to this noble calling”



The governor who asserted that the security of the Corps Members remain top priority, however  enjoined them to be security-conscious at all times.
