A concerned youth in Ondo North Senatorial District, Bankole Akerele has written an open letter to Awe Tunbosun, an ex-aid to the lawmaker representing the district in the National Assembly, Senator Jide Ipinsagba.
Olatunbosun was the Ward Liaison Officer of Senator Olajide Ipinsagba representing Isowopo ward 2 in Akoko North East Local Government before resigning.
It was gathered that Olatunbosun in a letter made available to the public premised his resignation on the paltry N20,000 that he is being paid as salary by the lawmaker
Particularly, he said the monthly payment is not in term with the present economic realities and a far cry from the national minimum wage bill passed by the national Assembly of which Senator Ipinsagba is a major constituent.
However, Bankole Akerele a concerned youth in the district, in a statement he signed and made available to Journalists on Wednesday, lambasted the ex-aid, describing him as an ingrate.
Besides, he, urged him to show gratitude and respect to his former boss.
The letter expressed disappointment over Tunbosun's recent association with another senatorial aspirant and his apparent shift in approach.
Akerele reminded Tunbosun of the support he received from Senator Ipinsagba, including financial assistance during his wedding and a gift of a cow as a gesture of goodwill. He also noted that Ipinsagba supported Tunbosun as a Personal Assistant during Governor Agagu's tenure.
The letter advised Tunbosun to conduct himself with maturity and modesty, focusing on constructive engagement and respectful dialogue rather than negative campaigning. Akerele warned that Tunbosun's actions would not only impact his relationships but also his reputation.
Meanwhile, the open letter has sparked interest in the political circles, with many awaiting Tunbosun's response to the advice.
