Fola Abolarinde Foundation Memorial Scholarship for Medical and Nursing Students Now Open

Medical and nursing students in Nigerian public universities and schools of nursing are hereby invited to apply for the 2025 annual Fola Abolarinde Memorial Medical Scholarship Award. 

The award was instituted a year ago by Otunba Victor Abolarinde, in memory of his late father, Mr. Fola Abolarinde — a pioneer medical practitioner in the old Ondo State. 

For a student to qualify for this award, he/she must satisfy all the rules/conditions stated below:

i. The candidate’s father must be a native of Igogo Ekiti

ii. A candidate, whose mother only is from Igogo Ekiti is not qualified

iii. Candidate’s application must be accompanied with photocopy of an authentic Certificate of  Local Government Origin, bearing the particulars of the candidate

iv. Evidence of payment of the Annual Igogo Ekiti Development Levy by the candidate’s father for 2024 and 2025 fiscal years

v. In case of a late father, that of the guardian (a native of Igogo Ekiti with evidence of payment of development levy) may suffice

vi. Candidate must obtain a confirmation letter of studentship, duely signed and stamped by his/her Head of Department, stating the full particulars of  the candidate 

vi. Completed application form must reach the Committee Officials not later than 25 August 2025. Any application received after the deadline without cogent reasons will not be entertained.

vii. Candidates must fill the Application Form presented below appropriately.
