Akure stands still as Sunny Brown marries Heartrob

The air was thick with joy and excitement on Saturday, November 2, 2025, for the families of Mr. and Mrs. Folorunso Aladegbaye and Mr. and Mrs. Ajayi Omotayo, as their children, Oluwasola Sunday (popularly known as Sunny Brown), took their marital vows with his beloved, Oluwatosin Opeyemi

In a ceremony marked by profound elegance and deep cultural reverence, the grand celebration took place at the spacious and beautifully decorated Adu Memorial Event Center, located strategically on CAC Oke-Isegun, Irowo Street, in Akure, Ondo State. 

Newsline NG learnt that members of the Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain of Fulfillment, Owo, and various other dignitaries stormed the venue to celebrate the newly wedded couple.

The venue was transformed into a breathtaking spectacle of white and gold, reflecting the celebratory mood of the momentous occasion.


Newsline NG gathered that, Long before the official proceedings began, the event center was already filled to capacity, testifying to the immense popularity and wide network commanded by both the couple and their respective families. 

Dignitaries, including prominent community leaders, successful entrepreneurs, and high-ranking members of the Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain of Fulfillment, Owo, graced the event. 

Their presence added significant weight and color to the already festive atmosphere, further confirming the high esteem in which both families are held.


The church service held at CAC Oke Ajaye, 32 Opopoola Street, Off Falodu Junction, Oshinle Akure was preceded by the traditional ceremony and the payment of the bride price at Adu Memorial Event Center, located on CAC Oke-Isegun, Irowo Street, Akure


The groom, Oluwasola Sunday, affectionately known as Sunny Brown, cut a truly dashing figure in his tailored attire. Known for his humility and burgeoning entrepreneurial success within the Akure business community, his choice of Oluwatosin has been widely hailed as a perfect match, signaling a strong partnership built on mutual respect.

The Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Sunday Afolayan, who delivered a powerful and heartfelt address, focused on the pillars of a successful Christian home. 

He strongly admonished the couple, stating the necessary steps for a lasting union: "You must have your daily devotion together, reason together every day, communicate on a daily basis, never contemplate revenge, and keep no secret from yourselves."

In a touching moment of appreciation on behalf on the newly wedded couple, the parents of the groom and the bride expressed their profound gratitude for the massive turnout of well-wishers. 

They jointly offered prayers, committing the new home to God and asking the Almighty to ensure the union would be exceptionally blissful, fruitful, and lasting for generations to come.
