The Cultural House is set to launch its inaugural cultural extravaganza, CULFEST 1.1, with the theme “My Culture, My Pride.”
The four‑day festival is scheduled to commence on March 11, 2026, at the Adegbemile Cultural Centre in Ondo State.
Speaking at Newsline NG, the Festival's C. E. O, HRH Yeye Modupe Olorunyomi Akerele, explained that the programme will kick off each day at 11 a.m. with a flag‑raising ceremony followed by a lineup of performances, workshops, and exhibitions showcasing traditional music, dance, crafts, and cuisine.
“We want CULFEST to be a platform where our youth can reconnect with their roots through culture
"The schedule features a mix of local talent and guest artists. Highlights include a sunrise drumming session by the Akure Youth Drum Troupe, a fashion showcase presenting contemporary twists on indigenous attire, and a panel discussion on preserving intangible cultural heritage.
"On the final day, a grand “Cultural Parade” will wind through the streets of Akure, culminating in a fireworks display at the centre’s amphitheatre.
