Father killed, Son escapes in Ogun Home attack

The Police have confirmed the death of Alhaji Fatai Pedro, who was reportedly shot and killed in the Obada-Oko community of Abeokuta.

The attack occurred at approximately 10:35 a.m. on Sunday morning, 30 November 2025, at the residence of the deceased’s son.

According to initial findings, security sources revealed that suspected members of the Aye Confraternity allegedly stormed the home of Mr. Nureni Temitope Pedro in what appears to have been a targeted assault on the family.

Sources further disclosed that Mr. Nureni had refused to join the group’s alleged criminal activities, including drug trafficking schemes, and had repeatedly distanced himself from their unlawful operations. His refusal is believed to have contributed to the attackers’ motive.

While Mr. Nureni managed to escape during the incident, his father, Alhaji Fatai Pedro, was shot and sadly passed away before emergency responders could reach the scene.

A security official confirmed that authorities have launched a full-scale manhunt for the assailants. No arrests have been made as of the time of this report, but investigations are ongoing.

Police have appealed to members of the public with any credible information to come forward, assuring that all details provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality
