The Secretary of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Princess Abike Bayo-Ilawole, has dismissed recent allegations of misappropriating ₦400 million as "malicious and untrue".
In a statement made available to our correspondent, Bayo-Ilawole expressed her commitment to lawful service and due process, stressing that she will not be swayed by unfounded claims.
According to her, "I will not compromise the law governing the operations of the commission," she said.
Bayo-Ilawole advised those with concerns to seek redress through proper channels, rather than resorting to public mudslinging.
She reaffirmed her loyalty to the state government and vowed to keep OSOPADEC focused on its mandate.
"I will not compromise my career for any pot of porridge, nor will I collude with anyone to defraud the people," she declared.
