Hon. Barr. Fola Olasehinde Vicente, a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly and Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters to the Governor of Ondo State, has formally resigned from her appointment, effective February 27, 2026.
In a letter addressed to Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and made available to Newsline NG, the legal practitioner and politician said her decision was taken with “profound respect and a great sense of responsibility,” noting that it was time for her to focus on the next chapter of her political and professional career.
"I write with profound respect and great sense of responsibility to formally tender my resignation as Senior Special Assistant on Diaspors Matters to the Governor of Ondo State effective today 27th February, 2026.
“Although this decision was not made lightly, I believe it is time for me to focus on and pursue the next chapter of my political and professional career.”
Olasehinde Vicente, who served as Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters, expressed deep appreciation to the governor for the opportunity to serve in his administration.
"I sincerely appreciate the opportunity you gave me to serve in your administration, which enabled me to contribute my quota to the lives of our brothers and sisters in the diaspora.
Reaffirming her loyalty to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Olasehinde Vicente declared that she remains fully committed to the party’s ideals and development agenda.
“I remain committed to our great party, the APC, as its first-ever elected female member of the ODHA, and I will continue to serve as a dedicated and loyal party member.
