FUOYE announces Dr. Sunday Saanu as Director of Public Relations

The Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has announced the appointment of Dr. Sunday Saanu as its new Director of Public Relations.

The appointment was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday in Oye-Ekiti by the institution’s Registrar, Mufutau Ibrahim. 

According to the statement, Dr. Saanu will serve as the Director of Communication and Corporate Affairs of the university. 

He is described as a seasoned communication expert and accomplished journalist with extensive experience spanning both public and private tertiary institutions.

Dr. Saanu previously served as Media Assistant to four Vice Chancellors at the University of Ibadan, where he garnered significant experience in university administration and media relations.

He later moved to Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, where he further distinguished himself as an established writer known for his compelling prose style.

The university noted that Dr. Saanu is widely respected for his resilience, resourcefulness, and strong work ethic, qualities that have earned him recognition in academic and professional circles.

His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication and Language Arts, a Master of Communication Arts (MCA), and a Master of Arts (MA).

He also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cultural and Media Studies from the University of Ibadan.

In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Saanu is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), underscoring his professional standing in the field of communication.

With his appointment, FUOYE expressed confidence that Dr. Saanu’s wealth of experience and expertise will further strengthen the university’s communication and corporate affairs framework.
