The Vice-Chancellor of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTECH), Professor Temi Emmanuel Ologunorisa, has disclosed that the institution will support the Tinubu/Datiwa Half a Million Walk.
The Vice-Chancellor gave this assurance when the coordinator of the Tinubu/Datiwa Half a Million Walk and Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Sports, Hon. Kehinde Akinrotoye Bonsue, led his team on a courtesy visit to the institution in Okitipupa yesterday, 18/03/2026
Professor Ologunorisa stated that the university management would support the programme through his physical presence at the walk and in any other way that would ensure the event’s success.
The Tinubu/Datiwa Half a Million Walk is scheduled to hold on April 1, 2026. The walk will commence from the Ondo State Government House gate at Alagbaka and terminate at the State Sports Complex in Akure.
The Vice-Chancellor also commended President Bola Tinubu’s transformation efforts, including the student loan initiative, tax reforms, and infrastructural development across the country.
“President Tinubu is a very good man. He is a genius, creative, and highly intelligent. He is an asset,” he said.
He further lauded the Ondo State Governor for his infrastructural development, noting that the governor has been supportive of the university.
“According to him, the governor has done very well. He is giving us support in the university in all aspects. He ensured that all programmes in the university are fully accredited,” he added.
Earlier, Hon. Kehinde Akinrotoye Bonsue thanked the Vice-Chancellor for his support.
He said, “The purpose of the committee’s visit was to seek the support of the institution. We are here to seek your support for the success of the event and to jointly drum support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu so that the giant strides achieved under his Renewed Hope Agenda can continue for the betterment of Nigerians.”
