Obedience Key to Unlocking Breakthroughs --- Pastor Adeniyi Ademola

The Mega Regioner Overseer, Pastor Ademola Adeniyi has charged Christians to embrace a life of obedience as a fundamental requirement for divine breakthroughs

He made known during a sermon at Ori Oke Olukoya programme held at the church auditorium

Speaking on the topic “Obedience,” with reference to 1 Samuel 15:22, the cleric emphasized that many believers often focus heavily on prayer while neglecting the importance of living in obedience to God’s Word.

He noted that while attending prayer meetings and engaging in spiritual exercises are commendable, they may not yield the desired results if not accompanied by genuine obedience.

According to him, the scriptures clearly state that obedience is superior to sacrifice, underscoring God’s preference for a yielded heart over mere religious activities.

He explained that disobedience remains a major hindrance to spiritual progress, adding that it has the capacity to delay or completely obstruct breakthroughs that individuals seek through prayers.

He urged congregants to reflect deeply on their lives and identify areas where they may have ignored divine instructions.

 “God is calling us to a life of obedience,” he said, stressing the need for believers to heed God’s Word and remain faithful to the responsibilities and assignments entrusted to them.

Highlighting the pathway to true obedience, the pastor pointed out that total surrender to God is the first and most crucial step. 

He encouraged worshippers to yield completely to God’s will, noting that partial obedience is equivalent to disobedience.

The cleric further assured the congregation that when obedience is combined with fervent prayers, it produces powerful results, leading to visible manifestations of God’s hand in their lives.

He added that a consistent lifestyle of obedience not only strengthens one’s relationship with God but also positions believers to receive divine direction and blessings.

In his closing remarks, Pastor Adeniyi offered prayers for the congregation, asking God to remove every spiritual barrier that hinders people from hearing and obeying divine instructions.

“I pray that every power blocking your ears and making you go against the instructions that lead to your breakthroughs shall be dismantled, in the name of Jesus,” he declared.
