The Ondo State chapter of the Niger Delta Youth Movement (NDYM), has declared strong support for a centralized approach to oil pipeline security, endorsing the operations of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited as a model for effective monitoring across the Niger Delta region.
At a press conference held on Monday in Igbokoda, the administrative headquarters of Ilaje Local Government Area, NDYM leaders commended the company’s track record in safeguarding critical oil infrastructure and tackling illegal bunkering.
While addressing journalists, the NDYM Chairman in Ondo State, Comrade Busayo Ebiniyi, praised Tantita for its proactive surveillance strategies and tangible impact in reducing pipeline vandalism.
He specifically highlighted the leadership of Government Oweizidei Ekpemupolo, widely known as Tompolo, noting that the deployment of well-trained personnel has significantly strengthened security operations in the region.
Comrade Ebiniyi also acknowledged the contributions of the Ondo State Coordinator of Tantita, Senior High Chief Idowu Asonja, commending his commitment and the measurable success recorded in protecting oil assets within the state.
Other stakeholders within the movement, including Comrade Meduoye Afani Saje and Comrade Peter Tawose, reinforced the group’s position, pointing to the positive outcomes of Tantita’s operations in curbing economic sabotage and enhancing community safety.
The NDYM reiterated its call for a unified, centralized surveillance framework, emphasizing that a coordinated system would further strengthen pipeline protection, minimize revenue losses, and promote stability across the oil-rich Niger Delta region.
