The BTO4PBAT Support Group on Wednesday brought its ward-to-ward mobilisation tour to a grand finale in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, drawing party faithful, key stakeholders, and grassroots supporters in a strong show of unity ahead of the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The group, convened by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and led by its Director General, Ogbeni Adojutelegan Adesuyi Gideon, used the event to reaffirm its commitment to the ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu administration.
Addressing the gathering, the Director General, Adojutelegan Adesuyi Gideon, urged residents to sustain their unwavering support for President Tinubu.
He stressed the importance of civic responsibility, particularly voter preparedness, encouraging eligible citizens to ensure their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) are valid and up to date.
He also called on newly eligible youths, especially those who have attained the age of eighteen, to register and actively participate in the democratic process.
In his remarks, the APC Chairman in Akoko North West Local Government, Hon. Kehinde Obanla (Ajapara), commended the achievements of Minister Tunji-Ojo during his time in the House of Representatives.
He described the minister as a dedicated public servant whose contributions to human development and community advancement remain evident. Obanla further urged constituents to remain steadfast in their support for the APC and vote overwhelmingly for the party in future elections.
Also speaking, the Publicity Secretary of the support group, Folajimi Adewumi Gbenga, highlighted the significance of voter turnout in shaping electoral outcomes.
He noted that Ondo State recorded an impressive voter participation rate of about 70 percent in previous elections, attributing this to the state’s growing political relevance, including the appointment of three substantive ministers from the state.
Adding his voice, the Coordinator of BTO Ambassadors in the local government, Hon. Idowu Aiyegbusi, emphasized that continued support for President Tinubu would translate into sustained national development.
He lauded Tunji-Ojo’s leadership, describing him as a strong advocate of the Renewed Hope Agenda and a symbol of responsive governance.
The grand finale marked the successful conclusion of the group’s ward-to-ward mobilisation campaign in Akoko North West, signaling a consolidation of grassroots support and a renewed drive for active political participation across the region.
