The renowned late monarch, HRM Alaiyeluwa Rev. Oba Ajibola Oluyede, Ise Oluwa II, the late Alayede of Ayede Ogbese, has been posthumously honoured with the prestigious KMEN-Christopher Kolade Men in Leadership Award for Courageous Manhood in recognition of his exemplary leadership, integrity and impactful service to humanity.
The award ceremony (held on Thursday, 14th May 2026) attracted eminent Christian leaders, ministers of the gospel, and dignitaries from far and wide who gathered in Lagos, Nigeria to celebrate the enduring legacy of the late royal father, whose life was widely described as a symbol of courage, humility, godliness, and visionary leadership.
According to Rev. Remi Akano, Chief Vision Steward, Kingdom Men Global Network, the KMEN-Christopher Kolade Men in Leadership Award for Courageous Manhood was instituted to honour individuals who demonstrated uncommon character, moral excellence, and inspiring leadership qualities during their lifetime. HRM Rev. Oba Oluyede (an outstanding member of the KMEN Board trustees) was unanimously found exceedingly worthy of recognition in this regard.
Receiving the award on behalf of the royal family, was a distinguished delegation of pastors and ministers from Christ Chapel International Churches, led by Rev. Peter O. Moses who is regarded as one of Kabiyesi’s most prominent sons in the Lord.
Other members of the delegation include Pastor Samuel Obadofin, Apostle Morgan Ogowewo, and Pastor John Eze, all of various centers of Christ Chapel International Churches, otherwise known as Voice of Faith Ministries, under the aegis of the legendary Rev. Dr. Tunde Joda and Rev. (Mrs) Ebun Joda.
The award presentation on behalf of KMEN was performed by Archbishop John Osa-Oni, Presiding Prelate and General Overseer of Vineyard Christian Ministries, who also serves as the Vice President of the South West Zone of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).
Speaking during the presentation, Archbishop Osa-Oni described the late monarch as a courageous and visionary leader whose commitment to righteousness, peace, and the advancement of humanity left an indelible mark on society.
On behalf of his widow, HRM Rev. Olori Olufunmi Ajibola-Oluyede and the royal family, the delegation expressed much appreciation to the organisers for recognising the late monarch’s contributions to community development, and nation-building.
They stated that the honour further affirmed the remarkable legacy left behind by Oba Ajibola Oluyede, whose influence continues to inspire many within and outside the Christian community.
The event was marked by tributes, prayers, and reflections on the late monarch’s life of service, dedication to God, and unwavering commitment to uplifting humanity.
