NYSC Oyo Urges Corps Members to Obey Curfew, Assures Safety Across State
The Management of the National Youth Service Corps
Oyo State, under the leadership of the State Coordinator, Mr. Kayode Ola Peters, hereby urges all Corps Members serving across the State to strictly comply with the curfew directive imposed by the Oyo State Government in the interest of public safety, security, and the preservation of law and order.
Management acknowledges the concerns and apprehension expressed by some Corps Members following the announcement of the curfew. While these concerns are understandable, the NYSC Oyo State Secretariat wishes to reassure all Corps Members that there is no cause for alarm.
Relevant security agencies, in collaboration with the Oyo State Government, are actively working to ensure the protection of lives and property across the State.
Accordingly, Corps Members, particularly those in affected areas, are strongly advised to remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding while complying fully with all directives issued by the Oyo State Government and other relevant authorities.
Adherence to the curfew is not only a civic obligation but also a necessary precaution aimed at safeguarding the lives and well-being of all residents, including Corps Members.
The Management also wishes to reassure parents, guardians, and loved ones of Corps Members that the Scheme remains in constant communication with relevant stakeholders and is closely monitoring developments in collaboration with government and security agencies.
Every necessary step is being taken to ensure the continued safety and welfare of Corps Members throughout the State.
Corps Members are therefore encouraged to remain focused on their service responsibilities, exercise caution in their daily activities, and cooperate fully with constituted authorities.
Although the curfew may present temporary inconveniences, it is a proactive measure instituted to preserve peace, protect lives, and maintain public order.
The NYSC Oyo State Management appreciates the understanding, patience, and cooperation of all Corps Members during this period.
The Scheme remains confident that through collective responsibility, vigilance, and unwavering compliance with lawful directives, peace, security, and normalcy will continue to prevail across Oyo State.
