OSOPADEC Chair, Poroye Rolls Out Reform Agenda, Tasks Staff on Discipline

The Executive Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), Prince Olabiyi Olaleye Poroye, has charged members of staff to uphold discipline, professionalism, punctuality and excellence as part of efforts to reposition the Commission for greater efficiency and improved service delivery.

Poroye gave the charge during the Commission's monthly prayer meeting for July, where management and staff gathered to offer thanksgiving and seek God's guidance, protection and continued progress for the Commission and the oil-producing communities across Ondo State.

Addressing the gathering, the OSOPADEC chairman stressed that every employee has a responsibility to protect the image and integrity of the Commission by demonstrating professionalism in both appearance and conduct.

He urged staff members to dress decently, wear their official identity cards while on duty, arrive at work punctually and discharge their responsibilities with dedication, discipline and commitment.

Poroye disclosed that the Commission had introduced cost-saving measures aimed at improving operational efficiency and strengthening its financial capacity. He noted that increased productivity across all departments remains critical to achieving the Commission's developmental mandate.

The chairman also encouraged workers to embrace teamwork, foster cordial relationships with colleagues, manage their personal finances prudently and remain steadfast in praying for God's wisdom and direction for the Commission's leadership.

He further called for sustained prayers for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the OSOPADEC Board and management, expressing optimism that the Commission would continue to execute impactful projects and programmes that would positively transform lives in the mandate areas.

Earlier, the spiritual session was led by Pastor Anointed Aliki, who preached from Colossians 1:13–14, 1 Peter 1:18–19 and Exodus 12:12–14. The cleric emphasised the themes of God's redemption, restoration and preservation, while special prayers were offered for the success of the Commission and its leadership.

The prayer meeting also featured goodwill messages from the Executive Director of Projects, Dr. Olujimi Kufo, senior management staff and other employees, who commended Poroye's leadership, commitment to staff welfare and ongoing efforts to reposition OSOPADEC for greater performance.

Responding to the commendations, Poroye attributed the Commission's achievements to God's grace, teamwork and the unwavering support of the Board and management. He noted that encouragement and unity remain essential ingredients for achieving excellence and overcoming challenges.
