2027: BTO Coalition Storms Ikare, Declares Tinubu’s Re-election Non-Negotiable

A support group campaigning for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, the BTO Coalition Platform for PBAT 2027, has declared that the President’s re-election is non-negotiable, citing what it described as his outstanding performance across various sectors.

The group stated this at a mega rally held at the Ikare-Akoko Cenotaph in Akoko North-East Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The coalition, which is sponsored by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, under the leadership of its National President, Adesina Abubakar said it was working to mobilise grassroots support and secure more than one million votes for President Tinubu in Ondo State in the 2027 presidential election.

The rally attracted a large turnout of youths, artisans, market women and professionals from various fields, who expressed their readiness to participate in the campaign and sensitisation efforts ahead of the election.

Addressing hundreds of participants at the rally, the National President of the coalition, Otunba Adesina Abubakar, said the President's giant strides in the education , health , housing and urban, road construction and other sectors are there for everybody to see

He said the event was organised to mobilise support for the President while educating voters on the electoral process.

Abubkar described the rally as part of the coalition’s voter enlightenment and education programme aimed at increasing voter participation and sensitising residents ahead of the 2027 elections.

He said the coalition had set a target of securing more than one million votes for President Tinubu through sustained grassroots mobilisation and sensitisation across the state.

According to him, the coalition was concerned about the low voter turnout recorded in the last election and was determined to encourage more eligible voters to participate in the electoral process.

“Due to what we observed in the last election, we discovered that voter turnout in Ondo State was not encouraging. We had about 1.9 million registered voters, but only about 300,000 people voted.

“This time around, we want to educate and enlighten people about the forthcoming elections and encourage support for PBAT 2027.

“Our task is to inform the people of Ondo State about their voting rights, encourage them to participate in the electoral process and vote for the candidates of their choice. We are also giving the message that they should support Tinubu in 2027,” he said.

Also speaking, the United Kingdom Coordinator of the coalition, Sam Adedayo Adegbite, said the rally was designed to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, sensitise voters and create an avenue for political education.

Adegbite said the coalition was also highlighting what it described as the achievements of President Tinubu and the contributions of Tunji-Ojo to development in Ondo State.

“The reason why we are doing this is for people to be aware of the structure that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is putting in place and, at the same time, through our own Interior Minister, what he has done and what he is still doing in Ondo State,” he said.

He stressed that the BTO Coalition for PBAT 2027 was not a one-off campaign initiative, but a structured mobilisation platform with presence across Ondo State and other parts of Nigeria.

“The BTO Coalition Platform for PBAT 2027 is not just a one-time event. We have this structure existing within the entire Ondo State and not only Ondo State alone but across Nigeria. As you can see, I came from the UK because of this mobilisation,” Adegbite added.

The National Organising Secretary of the coalition, Engineer Beremoye Samuel, said the group was motivated by what he described as the good works of the Minister of Interior, Tunji-Ojo.

He said the coalition was committed to mobilising voters across the state and delivering Ondo State to President Tinubu in the 2027 election.

“To sensitise people on the forthcoming election, we are inspired to deliver Ondo State to Mr. President. That is what we are meant to do.

“We invited people from different local governments. As you can see here, we have all 18 local governments duly represented.

“We are to go out there and tell the people about the good work of Mr. President and how we are going to come out en masse to vote for him to ensure that we deliver Ondo State to him,” he said.
