A 23-year old man, identified as Samuel Akuade, has allegedly hacked his mother, Mrs Olufunke Akuade, to death with a cutlass in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government area of Ondo State.
The tragic incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at about 5:00 p.m in the Powerline area, along the Ore–Okitipupa Road, throwing residents of the area into panic.
According to a source, Samuel allegedly attacked his mother with a cutlass, inflicting severe injuries that resulted in her death.
However, the motive behind the alleged killing is yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
