The Onigogo of Igogo-Ekiti Kingdom, His Majesty, Oba Sunday Olusola Adewumi, JP, Okinbaloye I, has called on sons and daughters of the town, home and abroad to support the Bank of Agriculture (BOA) branch in the community by opening accounts and patronising its banking services.
The monarch made the appeal in a goodwill message following the commencement of online banking services by the bank, which he described as a significant opportunity for people to conduct transactions conveniently from any part of the world.
Oba Adewumi urged the people to take advantage of the development by conducting their banking activities through the Igogo-Ekiti branch of the bank.
He expressed optimism that increased patronage would contribute to the sustainability and growth of the bank in the community.
Oba Adewumi, who appreciated Dr Moses Adeniyi Kolawole Ojo and late Dr Clement Adewumi Ayeni for preventing the relocation of the bank from Igogo-Ekiti, described their efforts as not only valuable but remained indelible.
He further commended Hon. Babatunde Ogunsuyi, a former member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, for providing the premises currently occupied by the bank, and also acknowledged the contributions of other individuals whose efforts had helped sustain the presence of the bank in the community till date.
According to him, supporting the bank through increased patronage would present important economic opportunities for the people of Igogo-Ekiti and environs.
