Tragedy struck Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State on Saturday when two seven-year-old boys, identified as Oloyede Ayo and Clinton Koleola, were reportedly electrocuted after a live electric wire fell on a shop along Apefon Road.

The incident, which occurred on September 26, 2026, reportedly caused panic in the area as the children, who were said to be inside the shop at the time, attempted to escape after the electric wire fell on the building.

An eyewitness said the fallen wire remained energised, exposing people around the area to danger.
