It was a celebration of success and empowerment in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State as members of the Women's Wing of the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) recorded a major financial breakthrough from the grant facilitated by the Honourable Minister of Interior and National Leader of AMG, Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO).
The women's wing, under the Odigbo Local Government Coordinator, Hon. Mrs. Ayobami Adepoju, popularly known as Mama Willbeth, expressed profound appreciation to the Minister for his gesture, disclosing that the grant has yielded bountifully within just six months.
Speaking at a special appreciation gathering in Ore, Hon. Adepoju revealed that the grant was released six months ago through the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) platform to enhance the businesses of women members across the local government.
According to her, instead of sharing the money individually, the women demonstrated financial discipline and unity by pooling the funds together to form a Cooperative Multipurpose Society. The prudent management, she said, has paid off.
*"Today, it has yielded! Our grant has multiplied to over Two Million Naira and each member is going home with increments. This has put smiles on the faces of our members,"* Hon. Adepoju said excitedly.
She emphasized that the women will continue to justify the confidence reposed in them, noting that to whom much is given, much is expected. She prayed for continuous replenishment for Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo and thanked him for extending love to all women in Odigbo Constituency One and beyond.
In her remarks, the Ondo State Coordinator of the AMG Women's Wing, Hon. Mrs. Yetunde Adeyanju, charged the women to remain steadfast and resolute in their belief in the Asiwaju Mandate Group under the leadership of Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo.
The former Commissioner stressed that the immediate priority of the group should be to work harmoniously to ensure the re-election of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
She encouraged the women to see themselves as one entity and to continue to promote the Honourable Minister for Interior, whom she described as *"a leader per excellence, articulate, ebullient, with high morals - a political quintessential."*
Also speaking, the Coordinator of AMG in Odigbo Local Government, Pastor Hon. Felix Olatunde, enjoined the women's wing to prepare for more goodies and benefits under the leadership of BTO.
"Backward never, forward ever. Be more proactive and more participative whenever the call comes," Pastor Olatunde advised.
Earlier in her goodwill message, the Coordinator for Odigbo Constituency One, Mrs. Funmilola Odelola (JP), appreciated members for their mutual understanding and cooperation.
She lauded Hon. Bunmi Tunji-Ojo for his kind gesture and, on behalf of the women's wing, pledged to work laboriously to ensure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027.
Other leaders present at the programme include: Ore Ward Leader, Mrs. Bosede Akinrujomu, Market Coordinator, Alhaja Adesokan, Secretary, Mrs. Adeleke, Treasurer, Mrs. Abigeal Akinpelumi, Mrs. Afolabi Esther, Financial Secretary, Mrs. Toyin Kayode, P.R.O, Mrs. Ayanleke, alongside Ward Coordinators, Opinion Leaders, Zonal Coordinators and Unit Leaders.
The event ended with jubilation as members shared testimonies of how the cooperative has transformed their small-scale businesses.
