The network made this known in a statement issued on Monday in Ibadan, by its State Coordinator, Dr Rosemary Odigbo. The News Agency  of Nigeria (NAN) reports the pupils and teachers  abducted during the attack on Ahoro-Esiele Community, in Oriire Local Government Area (LGA), were rescued on Friday. The victims were abducted on May 15, when heavily armed gunmen invaded the community, kidnapped the pupils, teachers and the principal of the schools. CPNN said the support would aid full recovery and successful reintegration of the victims. “We reaffirm our readiness to provide every necessary psychosocial support, counselling, protection services, and reintegration assistance,” the statement read. A 30-year-old man, Musbawu Amodu, has been arrested by the Nasarawa State Police Command for allegedly beating his wife to death following a domestic dispute in Agyaragu, Obi Local Government Area of the state . The incident reportedly occurred after an argument between the couple over the preparation of a meal escalated into violence. Confirming the arrest in a statement on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, said officers responded to a report that the suspect had physically assaulted his 20-year-old wife, who later died from injuries sustained during the attack. According to the police spokesperson, the suspect admitted during interrogation that he assaulted his wife in a fit of anger after she allegedly refused to cook food. The pupils and teachers abducted by suspected gunmen in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State have regained their freedom after spending more than 50 days in captivity . Their release was announced on Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, in a post on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account. "Finally, the kidnapped pupils and teachers in Orire, Oyo, have been freed by their abductors," Onanuga stated.
