BREAKING: Four Communities set Ablaze in Ondo by Suspected Fulani herdsmen

Four communities located between Akure metropolis and Ala in Akure north local government area of Ondo state were set ablaze by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Our correspondent learnt that the incident that occurred in the night when the people at the farm settlements were still sleeping, followed a disagreement between farmers in those communities and the herders.

One of the villagers who preferred to speak with our correspondent on condition of anonymity, said hundreds of farmers and their family members have been rendered homeless as they all escaped miraculously from being killed by the well-armed herders

It is not yet clear if there are casualties as at the time of this report as nobody could enter the communities around igbatoro/Alao/Imafon axis.

It was gathered that the farmers had yesterday gone to the herders to warn them against using their cows to destroy farms in the areas but the herdsmen were alleged to have mobilised to carry out the attack in the night.

The Ondo state police command’s Spokesman, Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro when contacted, said he was yet to be briefed and promised to get back to newsmen as at the time of filing in this report.

Further Details shortly…..
