Ondo state has said to have recorded second positive case of Coronavirus,
Sunshinetruth learnt that the second case of COVID-19 was discovered at Ijoka area of Akure today.
Confirming this to our reporter, a medical officer who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the patient had been transferred to the state Infectious Disease Hospital, along Igbatoro road, Akure.
“Pls people lets be careful o and take every precautionary step o, a second case of COVID-19 has been reported in Akure and I got an info that the person has been admitted at the infectious disease centre along igbatoro road.”
The state Commissioner for information, Donald Ojogo said he had not been briefed by the development while the state Commissioner for health, Dr Wahaab Adegbenro is yet to pick calls to his line as at the time of this report.t
In another development, the second positive case of Coronavirus in Ondo state was brought to the state by a staff of the Muritala Muhammed, Airport, Lagos.
He retuned to Akure after the pronouncement of total lockdown order in Lagos.
The victim who resides in Ijoka area of Akure has been transfered to Infectious Disease Hospital.
The state Epidemiologist, Dr Stephen Fagbemi confirmed this to newsmen.
