RADIO WORKERS SACKED, FEW MONTHS AFTER RECRUITMENT IN EKITI




No fewer than ten staff of the Newcruse FM Ikere Ekiti, have been sacked by the management of the organization.

Some other staff who were retained had their salaries slashed almost by 30%.

The disengaged staff which cut across all departments in the organization were employed barely six months ago after the station commenced test transmission.

Roundoffnews reports that the decision of the management was communicated to the affected staff through a letter signed by the Administrative Officer Babatunde Daramola .

The letter reads ” Sequel to the reorganization of the establishment, I regret to inform you that your services are no longer needed.

Kindly submit all available property of the establishment to the Administrative officer.

The letter dated 31-5-2020 was handed over to the affected staff on the 1st of June 2020.

Some of the affected staff who could not bear the pain bemoaned the action of the management describing such as a sheer wickedness.

According to them, the sack came as a rude shock because they were employed barely six months ago.

They lamented that the proprietor of the station had promised them on several occasions about their job security.

According to them, most of the affected staff left their former employers to secure the job but said they have been thrown into pain and pain.

They appealed to well meaning Ekiti People to cone to their aide.

When contacted, the General Manager of the station, Mr Jide Oguluyi claimed that the information was not true, saying no staff was disengaged.
