A former federal lawmaker, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, Ondo State commissioner for women affairs, Mrs Titi Adeyemi, today, met with the party's delegates in Akoko South East local government area of Ondo state.
The meeting which was held ahead of the ruling all Progressives Congress gubernatorial primary election in Ondo State encompasses all the delegates in the 11 wards of the local government.
Speaking at meeting which was observed under low-key due to the ravaging pandemic, the former federal lawmaker, who also doubles as the special adviser to Ondo State Governor on rural and community development, said the state Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu will emerge as the APC flagbearer ahead of the October 10 governorship election.
He noted that the delegates must work hard to ensure that Akeredolu clinch the party's ticket.
The Special Adviser stated further that Akeredolu's feats are enough to boost his re-election bid.
Kolawole also assured the party's faithful not to panic over Deputy Governor, Hon Agboola Ajayi, who defected to the major opposition party.
He, however, urged the delegates not to compromise their stance ahead of the in-house election, adding that the Governor stood with the delegates when there were gamuts of litigations.
It would be recalled that Hon. Kolawole Babatunde inaugurated an ultra modern campaign office for the Governor in Isua, the headquarter of Akoko south east local government area of Ondo state.
Amplyfying the re-election bid of the Governor, the commissioner for women affairs corroborated the stance of Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, she stated Since the inception of the Akeredolu led administration, the government took the welfare of the residents as priority.
Adeyemi further advised the delegates to vote for the Governor in the July primary election of the APC.
