Members of the Nigeria Society of Engineer (NSE) Akure branch has performed the investiture of Engr. Ezekiel Oloruntola as the new chairman of the branch.
The investiture which was witnessed by members of the NSE within and outside Akure as well as the national body of the Engineers, government officials as well as friends and family of the new branch chairman.
Speaking during the ceremony, the new chairman of the Akure branch of the NSE, Engr Ezekiel Oloruntola, thanked members of the association for the the supports extended to him during the conduct of the election.
He thanked the present adminstration in Ondo state under the leadership of Arakunrin Oluwarotim Akeredolu, over what he observed as infrastructural development in the state and for appointing some of his members into key positions in the state.

Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, disclosed the plan of his administration to partner with members of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) in developing industrial parks across the state.
Akeredolu, explained that the parks which will also be build in all the three senatorial districts in the state will compliment those earlier build by his government in Akure and Ore the headquarters of Odigbo local government area.
He explained that the decision by his government to build and develop industrial parks in the state is aimed towards creating more jobs and employment for the teeming youths in the state.
The Governor represented by his Special Adviser on Land and Infrastructure, Engr. Raimi Aminu, described Engineering as an essential profession, noted that the role play by them in developing the society can never be over emphasis. However, reiterated the readiness of his administration to partner with them and ensure the development of industrial parks and amusement in the state.
Akeredolu while identify with the members of the NSE Akure branch, however reiterated the readiness of his administration to continue in partner with them, equally thanks them over what he described as supports given to him during the last gubernatorial election in the state.
Similarly, in a lecture entitled: "Engineering Education and lifelong learning opportunities for sustainable development' delivered by the Director Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority, Engr Saliu Ahmed, described Engineering Education as the application of scientific and mathematical principle to the solutions of problems.
He explained that education engineering is ongoing, voluntary and self-motivated pursuit of knowledge for either personal or professional purposes. The Director quoted several verses from the bible to support his claims.
Speaking further on the programme Engr Amed congratulated members of the NSE Akure branch over the success of the programme, he advised them to focus more on the development of the association and ensure the success of the new executive members.
The highpoint of the event was the admission of oath of allegiance to the newly executive members, investiture of the chairman, delivery of goodwill messages as well as cutting of the investiture cake among others.
