An unidentified suspected rapist was reported to have been beaten to coma by a mob for raping and plucking out the eyes of his victim (young lady) in the Ondo state capital.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Monday at Oluwatuyi area of Akure, the Ondo State capital.
The arrival of policemen stopped the rapist from being burnt to death.
The suspect, according to report was an Hausa man, who could not say his name or where he is from.
Both the victim and the rapist are still in a state of unconsciousness at the police clinic in Akure.
Ondo Police spokesman, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, confirmed the incident but said family of the victim was yet to be seen.
