A socio-cultural group, Owo Elders Forum, has dismissed as campaign of calumny, the allegation leveled against the management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State on misappropriation of some facilities owned by the institution.
This was contained in a statement issued by the group in reaction to the allegation.
According to the statement, the group described as spurious the allegation, emphasising that the Banji Alabi-led management has made tremendous impact on the institution since it took over the running of the institution.
The Forum passed a vote of confidence on the Polytechnic's management, saying all the facilities being referred to by the faceless group were intact, fully owned and run by the institution.
According to the group, "It is a glaring handiwork of enemies of progress who were shocked by yeoman's job done by the Chairman of the Polytechnic's Governing Council.
"The turnaround on the campus done by the Governing Council, particularly in areas of infrastructure development is unprecedented.
"We all know what the situation was before the advent of the Banji Alabi-led Governing Council and what it is today."
