Oyo:"Embrace SAED, Former Director urges Corps members

A former Director of Press and Public Relations, NYSC, Mrs. Abosede Aderibigbe has urged corps members to embrace Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme

She gave the advice while delivering a motivational lecture to the 2021 Batch A stream two corps members at Iseyin Camp.

Mrs Aderibigbe who is very passionate about youth innovation and entrepreneurship implored the corps members to take the advantage of learning a skill while in the camp and even after the orientation exercise.

She said since the formal jobs are not readily available, it is expedient to be equipped with a skill that will make one to be self reliant.

While encouraging them to make themselves relevant at their places of primary assignment, the former Director asked the corps members to develop interest in their jobs and be very hardworking.

She added that posterity would record whatever impact they have made in their host communities.

Mrs Aderibigbe equally charged the corps members to seize the opportunity that the orientation exercise offers them to make friends and build long lasting relationships. She stated that a well nurtured relationship may be of great assistance in the future. She went further that it could serve as a ladder to the top,  adding that every activity in camp has something to offer.

Earlier in her welcome remark, the State Coordinator, Mrs. Grace Ogbuogebe informed the corps members that it has become a tradition in NYSC to give corps members the opportunity to draw from the wealth of experience of retired Directors.

She assured them that the lecture would afford them gain vital information that could be of a lasting memory and improve their quality of life.
