The NYSC Oyo State Coordinator Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe has urged corps members to devote more time to SAED training in order to master their chosen skills. Stating that the mastery of skills can only be attained once they continue with the Post-Camp SAED training.
Ogbuogebe, made the call during the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) Closing Ceremony and Inter platoon (SAED) competition for the 2021 Batch B(Stream l) Corps members at Iseyin Camp.
She also commended the Corps members for their level of commitment during the SAED In- camp training.
"Despite the short period allotted to the hands-on session, most of you came out with something great" she said.
She added that the SAED program would not only turn our youths to resourceful individuals but also employers of labour.She equally stated that the SAED program helps in turning passion/hobbies to skill and as well create access to loans through financial institutions that have entered into MOU with the Scheme.
Earlier in her remark the Assistant Director SAED, Mrs Atinuke Ojo applauded the facilitators for painstakingly training the corps members while on camp and encouraged them to continue in the same manner during the Post camp training.
She also enjoined the corps members not to relent in the mastery of their chosen skill and of continuous training at their Post- camp SAED centers.
Highlight of the event were the exhibition and inspection of finished products, Inter- Platoon SAED competition and the presentation of prizes to participants.
