The Director General of Sunshine Stars Football Club, Otunba Akinsola Akinbobola thanked the sports loving people of Ondo State for their immense support for the team.
Akinbobola, in a statement signed by his media aide, said the battle is not over yet, urging all and sundry to keep faith with the team and come out enmass to support them as the league is winding up tomorrow.
"The reason we are in this difficult situation shouldn't be in our discuss for now. The concern for all the patriotic sons of this state should be to ensure the team come out of it's present situation and retain it's stay in the Elite league.
"I can assure the good people of this state, that with their prayers, the team will not go down, rather, it will zoom out of the red zone ahead of the next football season."
"Our future is in our hands. We must come together, pray together and ensure we win our match tomorrow against Rivers United here in Akure.
"With the renewed spirit in the team and the tactics of the coaching crew, I am of the view that they can move mountain. We understand that we must win and our contenders must fall.
"The God that made achieve what seems unachievable in Aba is still on the throne. He will do it again in our favour on Thursday.
