ONDO: NYSC, THE RESERVOIR OF KNOWLEDGE AND TALENTS - STATE COORD

The State Coordinator, NYSC Ondo State, Mrs. Victoria Nnenna Ani has disclosed that the noble Scheme is the undisputable reservoir of knowledge and talents.

The State Coordinator made this known today in her goodwill message during the Mind the Gap Leadership programme organised by Google Digital Skills.

The event, which was part of 2021 Batch 'B' (Stream II) orientation course exchange programme is designed to harness the potentials of the graduate youths for national development.

Speaking on the theme of the debate among the platoons which was 'Digital Skills Are Compulsory for Effective Leadership in the 21st Century', the State Coordinator charged the corps members to use their digital skills for their empowerment and development.

"Gentlemen corps members, NYSC will continue to encourage your ingenuity and support your aspirations to develop your digital skills which will no doubt boost your marketability in the labour industry" she concluded.

Meanwhile, the representative of Mind the Gap, Mr. Samuel Kolawole Ajomole admonished the corps members to leverage on the opportunities provided by the NYSC to chart a new course for themselves.

Mr. Ajomole contended that the members of the service corps needed to think outside the box and in a unique way to be able to process the several information they have access to online.

He encouraged the corps members to embrace the digital economy which principally dealt with sharing of information.

The representative of the youth development and empowerment organisation while imploring corps members to build personal brand online announced that all arrangements have been concluded with Google to organise free four days online training for corps members after the orientation course.

At the end of the debate organised to sharpen the literary skill of the corps members representative of number 6 platoon was overall winners while numbers 7 and 4 platoons came second and third respectively.
