EKITI STATE UNIVERSITY,
ADO EKITI.
Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs.
3rd December, 2021.

CIRCULAR TO THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY

 POSTPONEMENT OF FIRST SEMESTER 2020/21 EXAMINATIONS

Arising from the meeting of the Committee of Deans, held on Friday, 3rd December, 2021, to review the readiness of the University towards the commencement of examinations for 100 level students, earlier scheduled for Monday,  6th December, 2021, the following observations were made:

1.100 level students are yet to be allocated with matriculation numbers, a condition contingent upon the writing of examination in the University

2. The Remita payment platform had been malfunctioning due to the uploading of data from the
revalidation, which deprive a large number of students from making payment of school fees as well as disallowing verification of those that had paid their fees.

3. Examination materials needed for the smooth conduct of the examinations are yet to be supplied;

In view of the above observations,  the Committee of Deans recommended to the Vice Chancellor the postponement of the examinations by one week, i.e 100 level examination to commence on 13th  December, and end on 22nd December, 2021, while 200 - 500  level examinations to hold between  4th and 25th January, 2022.

The university community, particularly students, are hereby informed that the Vice Chancellor has approved the above recommendations. All stakeholders should, therefore, take note of the new dates.

Any inconvenience caused, as a result of the postponement is regretted.
Thank you.

Bode Olofinmuagun,
Head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs.
