No fewer than two police officers have been killed in a Bank Robbery along idi-Ape-iwo road area of ibadan, Oyo State.
It was gathered that suspected armed robbers attacked a bullion van conveying money along idi-Ape-iwo road area of ibadan on Thursday.
The Robbery attack disrupted Normal activities along the route.
Confirming the incident, The Commissioner of Police in Oyo state, Mrs Ngozi Onadeko described it as an unfortunate incident.
She went further to state that no arrest has been made as the major entry and exits into the state has since been sealed.
"One of the robbers was said to have been shot dead by one of the police on escort while the corpse was carted away by his fellow robbers.
Motorists, commuters and passersby caught up in the robbery attack at Idi Ape, had difficult time getting out of the shock from the incident.
In a viral video circulated on social media, showing the aftermath of the incident, some of the motorists were seen frightened, while sympathizers tried to stabilize them.
Another victim was an motorcyclist whose body was seen beside the drainage while a man who appears to be the owner of a jeep was seen with bullet wound
A woman also was sighted to have been overwhelmed with fear and could not drive while some others were praising God for preserving their lives from the incident.
The incident has left the community in both shock and fear especially those who witnessed and escaped narrowly.
