Akeredolu remains our Leader, Father ---Chief Alex Ajipe




Against the backdrops of insinuations that there is rift  between the  Governor of Ondo State Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and his godson, Alex Ajipe, the convener of Ibi Giga Ambassadors, the governor has nominated and confirmed him as a major director in the presidential campaign council. 

The Emure-Owo born politician's name was listed alongside other heavyweight politicians as the South West  director social and humanitarian for the Tinubu presidential campaign council. 

In a statement by Ajipe media aide, Solomon Adewoye and made available to journalists in Akure appreciate the Governor for nominating him to be in the campaign council promising to work with other members of his team for the success of the party in the coming general election.

Ajipe who contested for the senate primary of the APC and has proceeded to court after the primary, insisting that Pastor Jide Ipinsagba, the declared winner of the primary election, was not eligible to contest after being duly elected as a delegate and refusing to resign before the primary election.  

Judgement in the case has been reserved for 10th of Nov. 

The statement said With the nomination and confirmation of Ajipe by Arakunrin Akeredolu as member of the campaign council, it’s confirmed that the governor is living beyond petty politics and providing fatherly role for all at the zonal leadership of the party.

"I want to sincerely thank our talk AND do governor for this nomination to be part of the Presidential campaign team of our candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, this indeed a great honour for me and will never take it for granted". 

" The governor has always proof to us that he is a leader and father. And with his tremendous achievements in Ondo state, it will be easier for us to campaign for our presidential candidate and we shall sure deliver not only Ondo state but all South West state come February next year.  I promised to work for the success of our party in the coming general election." He said 

Ajipe also praised Aketi for not interfering with the ongoing primary election case in court, maintaining that he has left the court to decide who is qualified to fly the senatorial ticket of the party the same way he didnt interfere with the court case for Akoko South East where the court ordered  fresh primary election  against the popular belief that the governor will interfere.
