Nysc holds Inter platoon Drill competition in Oyo



The Inter-Platoon drill competition held in Iseyin camp amidst cheers and apprehension as participants displayed their prowess.

The State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps Oyo State, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe in her remark commended the role of the Nigerian Army during the Inter Platoon Drills Competition for 2022 Batch C stream one Orientation Course. 

She appreciated them for inculcating discipline, resilience commitments, efficiency and team work on the corps members which she said was part of the aims and objectives of the orientation course.

While expressing satisfaction with the general conducts of the corps members SC noted that Army's  proficiency in handling discipline and parade drills have contributed in no small measure to the success of the orientation course.
She however urged the participants not to see the competition as a do or die affair but rather see their successes as a collective effort.

"The idea behind this competition is to instill discipline and general fitness into the corps members and also to bring to bear team work" she added.

Earlier the Camp Commandant Major Adebayo Oluwatobi commended the State Coordinator and her management Staff for providing the platform to instill discipline into the corps members.He assured her of their continuous support towards achieving more successes.

The Chief Judge of the event from 19 battalion, Capt. M.U Obi said he was thrilled with the performance of the corps members despite the short period of training.

He added that he was sure that the skill displayed by the corps members shows that they are ready for the task of nation building.

At the end of the event, platoon number 8 emerged as the winner while
Platoon 6 and 4 came 2nd 
and 3rd respectively .
