OYACA urges Oyo corps members to fight the menace of corruption





The Oyo State Anti-Corruption Agency has appealed to 2022 Batch ‘C’ Stream One Corps members to join the Agency in the fight against Corruption wherever they are posted to serve in Oyo State.

The Chairman of the Agency, Honourable Justice Eni Esan (Rtd) made the appeal while sensitizing the Corps members at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp,  Iseyin.

Delivering her lecture at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Iseyin Oyo State,she said the Agency was inaugurated by the Oyo State Governor, His Exellency Engr. Seyi Makinde to look into any allegation of corrupt practices against any person,non performance of any government contract and abuse of trust for personal gain.

The Retired Honourable Justice said that Corruption is a recurring problem hindering the the economic development of Nigeria and affects all aspects of the society negatively but eradicating corruption will help the advancement of our State and the entire nation.


She therefore solicited for the  support of the corps members for the Agency and in creating awareness for a corrupt free generation.The Agency later  entertained the corps members with drinks and refreshments. 

In a similar development, the Independent Corrupt Practice and other related Offences Commission has mandated corps members to support the fight to end corruption in the country by helping to petition the agency on any traces of corruption.

The ICPC Official, Mrs Babatunde Tayo while sensitizing the Corps members encouraged them to imbibe strong moral values and shun corruption as they carry out their duties in their field of primary assignment.


Meanwhile, the Economic and Financial Crime Commission has also urged the Corps members to enlist in the NYSC-EFCC Vanguard and foster public support for the fight against corruption
