In a bid to put smile on people's faces and keep their hopes alive, Julius Boboye Olanipekun Foundation [JUBOF], has distributed her yearly food basket containing food items to the residents of Odo-Ado in Ado-Ekiti.

The distribution was held today, December 19, 2022 at the annual outreach programme of the foundation.

Newsline NG gathered that hundreds of excited residents of Ado-Ekiti came out in large numbers to benefit from the distribution.

Hon. Segun Olanipekun, who is the chairman of the foundation in an interview with Journalists, expressed joy seeing the smiles on the faces of people who benefited from the distributions.

He said the act of giving was a commandment from God that cannot go unrewarded. "My late dad was a philanthropist and had laid this foundation which we'll surely  continue to build wisely on it by God's grace" he added.

According to Hon. Segun Olanipekun [HSO] “God gave as a result of His love towards us and as such one cannot talk about love without giving. You either give your time, your listening ears, your money, yourself, you just have to give something when displaying the act of love."

Furthermore the Secretary of the foundation, Mrs Tosin Adeyemi in her remarks added that the foundation would continue with the yearly distribution of food baskets to the people of Ado-Ekiti and beyond, in helping them live happier and become more hopeful during a period like this.

“However, we are extremely delighted we could give to the community with the help of God and all our partners. We can’t appreciate you enough because your kind gesture went a long way and to make matters interesting, we were able to put genuine smiles on people's faces.

Reacting, some beneficiaries expressed gratitude to JUBOF for blessing them with food to eat, feeding them and their children.

“We now have food items to give our children this Christmas period, God will continue to bless Julius Boboye Olanipekun Foundation”, a beneficiary said.

However, the foundation Board of Trustees have promised that in the coming year, many other beneficial programmes will be initiated to cushion the negative economic effects encountered amongst the good people of Ekiti and beyond.
